What is the Daniel Fast? How do you prepare for it?

"In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for three weeks. I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, for the full three weeks" (Daniel 10:2-3). The Daniel Fast is based on these verses in the bible. During the fast, Daniel made a 21-day commitment to focus on spiritual food (fervent and focused prayer) rather than physical food as an act of worship and consecration to the Lord. He was willing to forfeit the consumption of meats, bread, sweets, alcohol, and caffine to have a closer walk with God.
The Daniel fast is a 21-day commitment to Christ that we are starting on January 23rd. During this fast we will observe 3 prayer times at 9am, Noon, and before bedtime and have specific scriptures to read for each prayer time. There is also guidance provided to you on what to eat, What to avoid, and Additional references and resouces to help you along the way.
