Kimberly notes that when greeting anyone in the African villages, it is customary to bring gifts such as staples (flour, sugar, rice, bread, milk, etc.) And we did! I also greeted Ms. Sara Obama with a hug and monetary hand shake!!! Yes...I put a gift in her hand. We sat down and my conversation with Ms. Sara was humbling. She recently got electricity in her home. Cows still grazing on the property. I asked Ms. Sara if she could ask for anything...what would it be? Her answer was so moving..."a shelter for the homeless children."
