Meet Our Pastor-Elect

RODNEY TODD MORTON was born in historic Selma, Alabama, and grew up in Maplesville, Alabama. Pastor Morton is an anointed spiritual leader and prophetic ' preacher. In addition t ' , o serving the members of his congregation, he conducts aggressive outreach programs in the community, including leading his church to adopt and connect with several schools for inner-city children, literary groups, and special ministries for the elderly and those incarcerated.
Pastor Morton has a passion for serving, community outreach, and engagement. He believes in the power of prayer and relies on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to deliver God’s Word. Pastor Morton embraces technology to illustrate his teachings with real-life applications. Through training workshops, conferences, and Bible study, Pastor Morton is committed to winning souls for Christ so that marriages are restored, families are healed, and the next generation begins to rise!
Pastor Morton earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Bible and Pastoral Ministry from Selma University
(Selma, Alabama), Master of Arts degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary (New Orleans, Louisiana),
Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary (New Orleans, Louisiana), and has studied
Integrated Leadership at Southern Theological Seminary (Louisville, Kentucky). Pastor Morton holds a Doctor
of Ministry degree from Philadelphia Bible College and Seminary. (Baltimore, Maryland), and he is a Doctoral
Candidate at Anderson University, Clamp Divinity School (Anderson, South Carolina).
Pastor Morton is a graduate of Leadership of Selma/Dallas County and a graduate of Clinical Pastoral Education
(CPE) College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy, Frederick, Maryland, and ACPE Decatur, Georgia. He
is certified in community-building strategies by the University of Baltimore and a certified coach, teacher, and
speaker with the John Maxwell Group.

Pastor Morton is a board member of the United Baptist Missionary Convention of the State of Maryland, Inc., the
Mission Committee, St. Agnes Hospital, Bon Secours Community Works Board of Directors, the MACAB Board,
VP of the Baltimore Branch NAACP, and a member of the Martin Luther King Commission of Howard County,
Maryland. He is a past Vice President of the National Bridge Crossing Jubilee Board of Directors.
Pastor Morton has distinguished himself as a recipient of numerous awards, commendations, tributes, honors,
and merits, including the “Martin Luther King Courage Award,” for his servant leadership and stand on social
justice for all and the “In the Spirit Award” for his work in community building.
Pastor Morton is married to Lady Rhonda Nix Morton, and they are the proud parents of one son, Rylan Alexander
Morton, now a freshman in college. Pastor Morton’s powerful messages resonate throughout the community,
challenging people from all walks of life to produce life-changing results. Known as a visionary and shepherd,
Pastor Morton inspires humanity through timely, relevant, and inspirational messages that create a culture of
thriving together.
