Our Mission
The purpose of the Usher Ministry is to enhance the worship services in an orderly fashion based on the pastor’s wishes and guidance. Also, the ministry shall vigorously introduce the unsaved to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and help them to grow to be more like Him.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To greet and seat worshipers as they enter the sanctuary, at the proper times, before and during services.
2. To distribute bulletins, envelopes, and other materials.
3. To be attentive to the needs of the worshipers.
4. To assist worshipers in the giving of their tithes and offerings.
5. To become familiar with the standard usher signals used in communicating with each other.
6. To perform other duties and responsibilities as listed in Wilson’s Usher Guide.
7. To follow all directions given by the Pastor.
The Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church has 4 different boards within the Usher's Ministry. Below is a listing of each board:
7:45 Am Ushers
President: Sis. Gladys Mance, phone (423)802-6321(423)802-6321 Schedule: Every Sunday during the 7:45 AM Service Meeting Time: (Quarterly) 1st Monday, after the 1st Sunday of the month, at 6pm.
Youth Ushers
